RENO, Nev. (AP) — A Nevada judge ordered a private investigator on Thursday to identify the person who hired him to track Reno Mayor Hillary Schieve and an ex-county commissioner with GPS devices attached to their cars ahead of the November election.
Lawyers for private investigator David McNeely argued that the name of his client was a trade secret and that release of the information would harm his ability to do business in violation of state trade laws.
But Washoe County District Judge David Hardy ruled that Nevada trade law provides him no such immunity.
Former Fox News host Tucker Carlson is reportedly looking at moderating an alternate GOP debate for the Republican primary.
The former Fox News host has allegedly talked with former president Donald Trump about moderating a debate outside of the Republican National Committee debate system, the Washington Post reported.
Fox News is scheduled to host the first official primary debate, which Trump, who launched a re-election campaign late last year, has suggested he may not attend.
Fired Fox News host Tucker Carlson wants to be more than a podcaster.

Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan’s May 14 election campaign is based solely on claims that the opposition is collaborating with terrorists and will grant rights to LGBT people. However, neither Erdogan’s strongest opponent, Kemal Kılıçdaroğlu, nor the nationalist and Islamist parties that are in the Nation Alliance (Millet İttifakı) supporting him, have made any promises or statements regarding LGBT rights.
A U.S. Navy SEAL, who was part of the team that killed 9/11 mastermind Osama bin Laden, has fired back over reports the Navy is using a drag queen to try to recruit more “woke” troops.
Yeoman 2nd Class Joshua Kelley performs as a drag queen named “Harpy Daniels.”
In a November TikTok video, Kelley revealed that he would serve as the Navy’s first “digital ambassador.”
The program Kelley represented — for which he served as one of five digital ambassadors — ran from October 2022 to March 2023.
Sen. Chuck Grassley (R-Iowa), the ranking member of the Senate Budget Committee, and Rep. James Comer, the chair of the House Oversight Committee, cite an internal FBI document as evidence of President Joe Biden’s alleged participation in “a criminal scheme” to exchange money for policy decisions. The alleged bribery occurred purportedly during Biden’s tenure as vice president.
“We have received legally protected and highly credible unclassified whistleblower disclosures, ” reads a Wednesday letter addressed to Attorney General Merrick Garland and FBI Director Christopher Wray.
As Bud Light continues to see its profits plunge after partnering with a transgender TikTok star, the U.S. Navy has been found deploying a drag queen to boost enlistment. And many veterans are disgusted.
The Navy partnered with Petty Officer 2nd Class Joshua Kelley, who is also a drag queen who performs under the stage name Harpy Daniels, to promote the service in a social media campaign that lasted from October of last year to March.
The Navy explained to the Daily Caller that the campaign was meant as a recruitment tool to help the service meet its enlistment goals.
Ahh, ranch! Such a versatile condiment. The iconic flavor pairs perfectly with salad and wonderfully with, dare we say it, pizza. Out there in the world of store-bought ranches, it is competitive. Each brand infuses its dressing with different flavors and textures. Without buying the grocery store out, how are we to know which is…

That is why The Heritage Foundation is hosting a public forum to discuss ways to solve these problems and strengthen Medicare now and for the future.

We must talk about the failed assassination of Russian President Vladimir Putin.
Since centuries, the Kremlin has been the political center of Russia. The Russian word kremlin means a citadel or fortress within a city.
It’s important to remember that the Kremlin really is a kremlin. The Kremlin is a fortress in the middle of Moscow. It has reinforced structures, surrounded by an eight-mile-long wall. Specially trained interior troops guard it, and recently anti-aircraft missiles were added. The fact that the missiles can be spotted is something new.
The issue of Muslim women being forced to wear the hijab and subjected to oppression and abuse by Muslim men is a troubling problem that has been imported into Western nations. While many Muslim women in the West choose to wear the hijab as a symbol of their commitment to Sharia, there are many instances where they are forced to do so against their will, and those who do not conform are killed or beaten by their husbands or family members.
Recently, a Sharia-adherent Muslim woman in France released a propaganda video advising Muslim men married to women who do not wear the hijab.

The major prize fight in Texas in 2024 will more than likely be U.S. Sen. Ted Cruz versus whoever runs against him in the general.
Given the average Texan’s opinion on how Democrats have performed lately, it is predicted to be a meatgrinder of a general election with Cruz the easy victor (Ed: though it is more than a year out and early to tell, we’ll go ahead and hedge our bets now).
U.S. Rep. Collin Allred could be the Texas Democratic Party’s latest sacrificial lamb to keep hopes warm and donations flying in.

INDIANAPOLIS (AP) — Indiana’s governor on Thursday signed a bill that would require schools to notify a parent if a student requests a name or pronoun change at school, one of the final bills approved in a legislative session that had targeted LGBTQ+ people in the state, especially students.
Critics worry the law could out transgender children to their families and erode trust between students and teachers while supporters have contested the legislation keeps parents empowered and informed about their children when at school.

“Outnumbered” host Kayleigh McEnany has been reportedly tapped to become the next temporary “Fox News Tonight” host.
McEnany has filled in for Laura Ingraham multiple times on her show “The Ingraham Angle.”
That led to speculation that she might get an opportunity to host a show in the primetime lineup sooner, rather than later.
McEnany announced the news in a tweet where she said, “I am honored to share that I will be hosting Fox News Tonight on @FoxNews at 8pm ET all next week (5/8-5/12)! Set your DVR.
Rory McIlroy is a hot name in golf lately. Unfortunately, most of it is not due to his play on the course.
McIlroy skipped the RBC Heritage earlier this season because he needed a “mental health break.” Those are all the rage with millennials, but most young people who use a “mental health day” to get out of work don’t lose $3 million.
But McIlroy did, thanks to missing his second designated event of the season. That cost him a large portion of his PGA Tour bonus.
That aside, though, McIlroy is finally back in action this week at Quail Hollow in the Wells Fargo Championship.

New York City Mayor Eric Adams is dialing up the pressure on Texas Governor Greg Abbott.
Adams all but called Abbott a racist in his latest pleas for migrants to stop coming to New York City.
The irony of all this is that NYC is a sanctuary city.
Suck It Up, Buttercup
Adams is fuming because Abbott has sent a few thousand people to New York City.
Collectively, for all the migrants that have been bussed to various cities around the country, it would account for less than a week of what Texas has been seeing over the last two years.
TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (AP) — Former Florida Democratic candidate for governor Andrew Gillum, who came within a whisker of defeating Republican Ron DeSantis in 2018, was acquitted Thursday of lying to the FBI in a corruption case that also involved illegal use of campaign contributions.
But the federal jury hung on charges that Gillum funneled tens of thousands of dollars in campaign money to personal accounts. Prosecutors said they will retry him on those counts.

In a win for common sense and the voters of Florida, the 11th U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals, in a 2-to-1 opinion written by Chief Judge Bill Pryor, upheld several election reforms passed by the Florida Legislature in 2021.
In League of Women Voters of Florida v. Florida Secretary of State, the appeals court on April 27 overruled a lower court decision by Judge Mark Walker, an appointee of President Barack Obama, that was based on “legal errors and erroneous findings of fact.” That was a polite, legal way of saying that Walker was way off-base.

Bottom line: the 37-year-old Italian smoke doesn’t appreciate the insinuation that she’s a little too rough between the sheets, and needs it to stop. Now.
“Too bad it’s an injury in the same place as the one in 2021, when I didn’t know him,” Satta told Vanity Fair of Berrettini’s recent oblique injury, which will keep him out of the Tennis Internationals in Rome.
“Do I really have to answer to these people?” she added.

ATLANTA (AP) — Georgia’s Republican secretary of state has set the battleground state’s 2024 presidential primary for March 12, rebuffing the wishes of Democrats, including President Joe Biden, to move the state into the early weeks of the nominating calendar as a part of elevating more diverse electorates.
Brad Raffensperger said Thursday that the Democrats’ push was “unilateral,” given that national Republicans have set the traditional early slate for 2024: Iowa, New Hampshire, South Carolina and Nevada.
There are a lot of people who are confident that the contest for the Republican nomination for president is pretty much all over except for the formalities. President Trump, obviously, does not share that confidence.
There is no other explanation for the consistent and aggressive attacks from Team Trump (and Mr. Trump himself) directed at Governor DeSantis.
For example, twice in the last few weeks, the former president has taken to Truth Social to attack Governor DeSantis for his temerity (or “disloyalty” if you prefer) in seeking the nomination against his ostensible benefactor.
