During a conservative forum today in Iowa, Florida Governor Ron DeSantis celebrated a fellow governor signing a monumental pro-life bill and he said he was proud to have done the same in his state.
“I’m very proud to say Kim Reynolds is here, and she signed a great heartbeat bill today. We were able to do that in Florida,” DeSantis said.
He was referring to Iowa Governor Kim Reynolds, who today signed a heartbeat law protecting babies from abortions.
DeSantis went on to say he will be a pro-life president if he’s nominated and defeated pro-abortion radical Joe Biden.
‘I will be the nominee and in a position to win this in a landslide’
The 30-day measure will prioritize domestic security needs, Belgrade has said
The Serbian defense industry will not export weapons, equipment or ammunition for the next 30 days, focusing instead on satisfying domestic demand, Defense Minister Milos Vucevic announced on Friday.
“Our assessment at this time is that commercial arrangements can’t have priority over homeland security, so what our defense industry is making must primarily be directed to the Serbian military, in line with its needs,” Vucevic said.
On Independence Day, Federal District Court Judge Terry A. Doughty issued a preliminary injunction in Missouri v. Biden that blocks the White House and numerous federal agencies from communicating with social media companies for “the purpose of urging, encouraging, pressuring, or inducing in any manner the removal, deletion, suppression, or reduction of content containing protected free speech.” The Government filed a Notice of Appeal, and requested a stay on enforcement of the injunction until its appeal is decided.
Joe Biden returned to the White House Thursday night after a trip to Europe where he participated in a NATO Summit.
Biden went on a sniffing extravaganza and rubbed a young girl’s face before leaving Finland.
Biden immediately bent down to sniff the children behind the fencing.
Joe Biden also nibbled a little girl’s arm before sniffing her hair.

CNN’s Jake Tapper was incredulous that presidential candidate Vivek Ramaswamy spewed a conspiracy theory about the Federal Reserve while standing in front of a huge “Truth” sign at a campaign event.
“The Lead has obtained video from the campaign trail of Republican presidential candidate Vivek Ramaswamy — who is polling quite well in several states — agreeing with a completely untrue and, frankly, unhinged conspiracy theory about the Federal Reserve illegally adding zeros to the bank accounts of media companies,” Tapper said.
Only one U.S. House Democrat sided with American voters Thursday when lawmakers passed a military spending measure that prohibits taxpayer funding for elective abortions and related travel expenses.
U.S. Rep. Henry Cuellar, D-Texas, joined House Republicans in supporting several pro-life amendments to the National Defense Authorization Act, a military spending bill, the San Antonio Express-News reports.
One, which Cuellar supported and two Republicans voted with all other Democrats against – U.S. Reps.

The COVID-19 pandemic and the government’s response to it cost millions of lives and trillions of dollars and resulted in a major hit to global freedom. What should governments, private companies, and individuals do differently next time disaster strikes?
Alec Stapp, co-founder of the Institute for Progress, has assembled a team devoted to analyzing and applying the lessons of the pandemic.

Army Pathfinders
(WASHINGTON EXAMINER) – President Joe Biden signed an order on Thursday allowing the Pentagon to call up as many as 3,000 reserve troops to support Operation Atlantic Resolve in Europe.
Operation Atlantic Resolve began in 2014 in response to the Russian annexation of Ukraine’s Crimean peninsula and it “provides rotational deployments of combat-credible forces to Europe to show our commitment to NATO while building readiness, increasing interoperability, and enhancing the bonds between ally and partner militaries,” per U.S. Army Europe and Africa’s website.
Women across Iowa celebrated this week when state lawmakers passed a heartbeat law that creates legal protections for unborn babies.
Pro-abortion groups already filed a lawsuit hoping to block the life-saving legislation. But if enforced, the law would make Iowa the 17th state to protect unborn babies either starting at conception or when their heartbeat can be detected.
Kristi Judkins, the executive director of Iowa Right to Life, believes the law will save thousands of unborn babies’ lives – and could have saved her own aborted child’s if it had been in place many years ago.
MADRID, Spain — A recent study suggests that people in their 80s (octogenarians) who possess exceptionally sharp memories tend to move faster than their peers. These older individuals, often called “superagers,” can vividly remember daily events and life experiences as though they were decades younger. As a result, they demonstrate greater mobility than their peers.…

Two years ago, a documentary “The Dimming: Exposing The Global Climate Engineering Cover-Up”[1] was released by Dane Wigington of Geoengineering Watch[2]. Now that we have experienced all the obfuscation and cover-ups of the COVID era it is no big stretch of the imagination to believe him. If you haven’t seen that documentary we recommend you watch it.
The documentary made the claim that climate engineering had been going on for decades and there had been a massive cover-up.
Former Vice President Mike Pence spoke about his role during the Capitol riot and argued on behalf of Ukraine in a sometimes contentious interview Friday with former Fox News host Tucker Carlson. Hunter Biden’s lawyer sent former President Donald Trump’s legal team a cease-and-desist letter this week arguing that the GOP frontrunner’s relentless social media attacks are putting Biden’s family in danger.
ABC News reported on the letter from Abbe Lowell Thursday night.
“This is not a false alarm,” Lowell reportedly wrote, citing the violent attack on Rep. Nancy Pelosi’s (D-CA) husband as evidence of a climate of political violence in the U.S.
“We are just one such social media message away from another incident, and you should make clear to Mr.

Joe Jonas — he of Jonas Brothers fame — recently talked about the time he lived out one of every performer’s greatest nightmares and crapped his pants on stage.
Now, let’s get this one out of the way right up top: I was under the impression the Jonas brothers took dumps onstage every time they perform.
*Holds for several-minute standing ovation*
According to People, Jonas — the brother that isn’t Nick or the other one — was on the Australian radio show Will & Woody. He was asked to tell a story that no one had ever heard. He then proceeded to tell the story.

Both in domestic matters and in foreign affairs, there have been few U.S. Presidencies that have failed as thoroughly as Biden’s is failing.
His foreign policies have focused upon defeating simultaneously Russia and China, two countries on the opposite side of the planet from us and which for decades have sought good relations with us, but Biden has been trying to turn Ukraine into a U.S. colony armed against Russia on Russia’s border, and he has been trying to turn Taiwan into a U.S.
Joe Biden, in the throes of a dementia event, started licking and nibbling at a poor, terrorized Finnish baby this week. The little one tried to get away. Even babies know better. It’s another first for Joe – stranger-baby-licking. Fresh from cocaine baggie-gate, Joe is out licking, possibly sniffing again. Biden was in Helsinki, Finland, […]

Do Democratic Reps. Dan Goldman of New York and Jamie Raskin of Maryland know what the “Streisand effect” is?
As the BBC notes, in 2003, singer Barbra Streisand sued an aerial photographer who had taken pictures of her house in Malibu, California and posted them online. Up to that point, almost no one had viewed the said photos. By the time her lawsuit was dismissed, the site the photos were on was averaging 420,000 views a month — hardly an inconsequential number in the pre-Facebook dial-up capital-I internet days.
HELSINKI — A young Finnish child was suddenly imbued with the incredible powers of advanced age and dementia Thursday after being bitten by a stray American president. Her DNA forever changed; the adorable one-year-old has since transformed into Old Baby, a defender of children everywhere.
MARATHON, Fla. (AP) — A juvenile green sea turtle rehabilitated at the Florida Keys-based Turtle Hospital was fitted with a satellite-tracking transmitter and released Friday to join an online race that follows long-distance migrations of sea turtles.
The Tour de Turtles, now in its 16th year, is organized annually by the Sea Turtle Conservancy. Beginning Aug. 1, the group will track a dozen sea turtles released from beaches in Florida and several Caribbean islands.
BALTIMORE (AP) — Nearly three hours before a mass shooting turned a south Baltimore neighborhood block party into a scene of terror and bloodshed, the city’s police department received a call about hundreds of partygoers armed with guns and knives — but on-duty officers decided no police services were required.
The decision contributed to a “catastrophic breakdown” in police communication and response during the hours leading up to the July 2 shooting, top city officials said at a city council hearing Thursday evening.
A woman has been arrested in New York in connection with the suspected drug overdose death of Hollywood actor Robert De Niro’s grandson.

NEW YORK (AP) — Thirteen state attorneys general – all Republicans – sent a letter Thursday to the CEOs of the U.S.’s 100 biggest companies, warning of legal consequences for using race as a factor in hiring and employment practices.
The letter cited the Supreme Court’s recent and controversial affirmative action ruling — which declared that race cannot be a factor in college admissions, striking down decades-old practices aimed at achieving diverse student bodies at Harvard and the University of North Carolina.

Washington, D.C. – A $25 million lawsuit has been filed against the District of Columbia, the DC Metropolitan Police Department (MPD), and an off-duty MPD commander by the family of the man he fatally shot at the city’s Wharf in 2021.
Officials said that DC Metropolitan Police Department (MPD) Commander Jason Bagshaw was leaving dinner at a restaurant along the promenade at about 9 p.m. on July 16, 2021, when he spotted a man pointing a gun, The Washington Post reported.
Police said Cmdr. Bagshaw may have interrupted an armed robbery in the 800-block of Wharf Street, SW.
The end of affirmative action was inevitable. The only surprise in the Supreme Court’s recent decision was that such intentions gone terribly wrong lasted so long. First, supporters of racial preferences always pushed back the goal posts for the program’s success. Was institutionalized reverse bias to last 20 years, 60 years, or ad infinitum? Parity […]

There is a pandemic in the Western world — especially, but not only, in America — that few are talking about, let alone addressing.
This pandemic doesn’t actually kill people. But it does destroy people, ruin lives, crush families and cause permanent, debilitating pain — far more than have the vast majority of cases of COVID-19.
This pandemic consists of adult children who have decided never again to speak to one or both of their parents. The vast majority of these people were never sexually or physically abused. In fact, nearly all were loved by their parents.

Don’t mention brown coal?
Last quarter I reported that the Australian Energy Market Operators (AEMO) had strangely “forgotten” to list the brown coal prices in its quarterly report, despite it being the second largest energy source in our national electricity market.
Other quarters, often they would include a graph comparing the average winning bids of all the major fuel types — a graph that surely is essential in these inflationary times where our electricity prices are setting record highs, rising by 25% this month, and we have a national debate on our energy crisis.
Since Ben & Jerry’s declared on Independence Day that the United States exists on stolen land that must be returned, Indigenous tribes have been fighting over who should receive compensation from the company for the land on which the ice cream giant built its headquarters.
“This is my territory,” Chief Rick O’Bomsawin, who leads Quebec’s Abenaki Bank Council of Odanak, said about Ben & Jerry’s property in Vermont.
“The territory that they’re speaking of is actually my people’s territory,” O’Bomsawin said.
The Biden administration is objecting to a provision in the National Defense Authorization Act that would remove racial considerations from military promotions and would allow the U.S. military to promote individuals based on whoever is the best candidate for a specific job.
Jack’s just gonna have to trust his friends to get him out of this one.
George Will is not deterred from putting in his two cents about the 2024 GOP nominee. Will, the bastion of conservative thinking, makes the case in the Washington Post that neither Donald Trump nor Ron DeSantis is likely to be the nominee. He does so with his usual dignity and reserve.
The Republican 2024 nomination question was: Can anyone harpoon a Great Orange Whale? Who knew he’d harpoon his own self, repeatedly? DeSantis imitating Trump’s persona of an unhappy warrior, while playing Captain Ahab in the movie, was a flattering act for Trump.
