Oath Keepers founder and political prisoner Stewart Rhodes was sentenced in May, in Washington, DC after he was found guilty of “insurrection” by a DC kangaroo court.
Far-left Obama-appointed US District Judge Amit Mehta sentenced Rhodes to 18 years in federal prison. This was after Mehta added extra years to his sentence because he believed Rhodes’ actions amounted to terrorism. This was a completely ludicrous accusation based on zero evidence.
The city of Moscow, Idaho, will be forking over $300,000 in a settlement with church members who were arrested in 2020 for ignoring a mask mandate during an outdoor “psalm sing.”
Gabriel Rench and Sean and Rachel Bohnet filed a civil lawsuit against the city and several city employees following the September 2020 incident, KHQ-TV reported.
More from the station:
Rench and the Bohets, all members of Christ Church, participated in a protest alongside other congregants without masks outside City Hall during the pandemic.
It’s indisputable that facts have never mattered nearly as much as feelings to the far left. If you ever find yourself unsure of that fact, just tune in to the unhinged daytime talk show “The View” and you will be reminded of it ad nauseam. The latest example came Thursday on the ABC show — and…

It’s not just that Eventbrite doesn’t believe in free speech; it’s that Eventbrite doesn’t allow free speech. Which, given that it’s the largest ticketing agency in the nation – so everyone uses it to organize their events – is more than something of a problem. Because if you organize an event that will say something the woke and progressive don’t like, you can’t use the ticketing agency. Even one already organized will be canceled.
This is what is happening. It happened at a Stanford event for Matt Walsh and his documentary “What is a Woman?”.
Monday was a busy day as we said farewell to Averil Ann Muehlenberg. It featured the noon burial at the cemetery with the immediate family, and then the public church funeral service held later in the afternoon. My wife got a special sendoff. A million thanks to everyone who was involved. The problem is, how do you properly pay tribute to someone in a 90-minute service?
That was the dilemma for all of us. In my case, I was married to her for 41 ½ years out of my 70 ½ years – and had known her for around 44 years all up. So my ten-minute talk was quite selective.

ANCHORAGE, Alaska (AP) — An Alaska man on a paddleboard escaped a close encounter with a humpback whale, not even getting wet during a tense few seconds caught on camera by friends and family as the giant creature surfaced right in front of him then glided under his board.
“It’s just so massive. You’re puny against this whale,” Kevin Williams of Anchorage said Thursday, a week after his adventure with an adult humpback whale in Prince William Sound.
It appears that Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s attempts to cozy up to the political elite have been rebuffed.
Sources told the Daily Mail that the couple asked for a ride back to the U.S. on Air Force One after Queen Elizabeth II’s funeral last year but were denied.
Months prior, first lady Jill Biden had declined an invitation to Harry’s Invictus Games charity event due to concerns that her presence would offend the royal family.
“Both the failed initiatives are understood to have been part of a campaign by the Sussexes to gain political influence in the U.S.,” the Mail reported.
New York City Mayor Eric Adams admitted last month that his invitation to house illegal immigrants at Gracie Mansion was purely symbolic. Now, it appears the city is similarly willing to admit that its sanctuary status was little more than empty rhetoric.
Adams is reportedly having fliers distributed at the U.S.-Mexico border stating, “Since April 2022, more than 90,000 migrants have come to New York City (NYC). … There is no guarantee we will be able to provide shelter and services to new arrivals.

Democrats have insisted since it happened on calling the riot in Washington on Jan. 6, 2021, an “insurrection.”
Setting aside the facts, which include that it was a riot by a few hundred people who vandalized parts of the building, and that President Trump had told his fans to protest “peacefully,” there are other considerations.
Former President Donald Trump stated earlier this week that Special Counsel Jack Smith had sent him a “target” letter, suggesting that he will soon be arrested and charged with offenses related to the January 6 protest at the U.S. Capitol Building.
Smith is also critical of Trump’s handling of the sensitive documents discovered at Mar-a-Lago last year.
Kamala Harris delivered remarks at the Delta Sigma Theta Sorority National Convention in Indianapolis on Thursday.
Harris was the keynote speaker at the Social Action Luncheon for one of the largest historically black sororities in the US.
Kamala Harris told the black sorority sisters that schools in Florida will be teaching students that slavery brought a personal benefit to blacks.
“In the state of Florida, they decided middle school students will be taught enslaved people benefited from slavery!” Harris shouted.
This is a lie.
AUSTIN, Texas (AP) — The state of Texas resigned Thursday from a national, bipartisan effort to prevent voter fraud, becoming the largest state and ninth GOP-led state to leave the initiative since 2022.
The exit from the Electronic Registration Information Center, commonly known as ERIC, comes after Texas Republicans began showing a willingness this year to leave the group, which has been targeted by conspiracy theories about its funding and purpose. Republicans elsewhere have cited other reasons for leaving the initiative and said they have been working on an alternate system.

Aleksey Kudrin has been targeted in Washington’s new package of Ukraine-related restrictions
The US Department of the Treasury has rolled out a new package of anti-Russia sanctions. The restrictions, announced on Thursday, target some 18 individuals and more than 120 entities, based both in Russia and Kyrgyzstan.
The new measures are aimed at inhibiting Russia’s “access to products that support its military and war efforts,” as well as reducing the country’s “revenue from the metals and mining sector” and “undermining its future energy capabilities,” the Treasury claimed.
Critics have suggested that the White House’s reluctance to scrap all funding and launch a full-throated condemnation of China is because of the US Government’s eerie ties to the lab.

Lisa Marie Presley’s friends were shocked to hear that her Jan. 12 death was due to complications from bariatric surgery, according to reports.
One of the late singer’s friends told Page Six, “When did you ever see Lisa look as if she needed bariatric surgery?”
“She was not big at all. I don’t know what kind of doctor would perform this surgery on her.”
It was announced on July 13 that Lisa Marie died of natural causes from a small bowel obstruction, a common complication from the surgery.

BELLEVUE, WA – The San Francisco County Board of Supervisors has backed down on a proposed ordinance that would make much of the city into a “gun-free zone” after the Second Amendment Foundation and California Rifle & Pistol Association promised legal action.
The proposal was championed by Supervisor Catherine Stefani, who essentially tabled the motion indefinitely, after bemoaning the 2023 Supreme Court Bruen decision, which is giving gun control proponents fits, while jarring the San Francisco Police Department to start issuing carry permits.

North Korea on Thursday issued a warning over the US deployment of a nuclear-armed submarine to South Korea, saying the provocation could potentially justify Pyongyang using its nuclear weapons.
The Ohio-Class USS Kentucky docked in the South Korean port of Busan on Tuesday, marking the first time since 1981 that an American nuclear-armed submarine arrived in the country. It also marked the first time since the US withdrew its tactical nukes from South Korea in 1991 that US nuclear weapons were deployed to the Korean Peninsula.

Russian President Vladimir Putin, on Saturday, vowed to crush what he called an armed mutiny after the private army of mercenary boss Yevgeny Prigozhin seized control of two cities, Rostov-on-Don and Voronezh, to oust the military leadership.
In his address to the nation, Putin called the armed mutiny by Wagner mercenaries a ‘stab in the back’ and said that the group’s chief, Prigozhin, had ‘betrayed’ Russia.
“This is a stab in the back to our country, to our nation… What we have been faced with is exactly betrayal.
