The Biden State Department released a proposal this fall that could increase the costs of childcare for thousands of families across the U.S. who rely on foreign nannies, according to The Wall Street Journal.
The proposal would require that families pay the workers according to a calculation based on state and local minimum wage laws, as opposed to the current calculation, which uses federal laws, according to the WSJ.
“I’ve already said that we are going to review that decision. We are. I’ve said it — I said it a couple of weeks ago that we were going to take a look at that decision and we still are.”

After passing a resolution 69-20 that urges Congress to stop the time change twice yearly, the House sent it to the Senate for consideration.
Under the Uniform Time Act of 1966, states can change to standard time but not to daylight saving time.
“It’s time to make daylight saving time permanent,” said Rep.
