A lifetime of work led me to write the book America’s Rifle: The Case for the AR-15. I began challenging “assault-weapon” bans when California passed the first state ban in American history, the Roberti-Roos law of 1989. At the time, the Ninth Circuit ruled that the right to keep and bear arms …

Four times the Cincinnati Bengals had trailed the Chiefs in the four games the teams have played the past calendar year. And four times the Bengals overcame the deficit.
But this time the Chiefs got the last word.

The death of Tyre Nichols was horrid and unnecessary, but racial and anti-police politics, not justice, appear to be front and center in this case.
Tyre Nichols’ death was caused by one or two rogue officers who used excessive force. Part of the problem is societal — why do so many black men think it appropriate to resist arrest? Likewise, societal problems are the racial and anti-police politics now dominating America. What is happening to the arresting officers is not about justice.
For many decades, the global pacifist movement has been a subset of the Left. Anti-war demonstrations are, generally speaking, a leftist phenomenon.

Perhaps the most surprising thing to come from the first half of the AFC Championship was CBS play-by-play announcer Jim Nantz “breaking the news” that Cincinnati Bengals wide receiver Tee Higgins plans to switch from No. 85 to No. 5 next season.
The funny part is that Higgins announced this decision in September of 2021. At the time, he had planned to switch numbers this past offseason. However, making that decision on lesser notice means he has to buy out all of the Tee Higgins No. 85 jerseys for sale.
That’s a hefty sum.

Are you ready for a catastrophic war in the Middle East? When I heard that there had been multiple military strikes inside Iran on Saturday night, I went to several prominent mainstream news websites looking for confirmation. But I didn’t see any stories about these strikes on any of their front pages. That puzzled me, because social media is filled with videos of these attacks, and there are lots of stories about them in Middle Eastern news sources.

What an absolute dud of an NFC Championship.
It started as a highly anticipated matchup between the No. 1-seeded Philadelphia Eagles and the Mr. Irrelevant-led San Francisco 49ers. It ended in a 31-7 beatdown by the Eagles on their home turf.
Not to take anything away from Philadelphia, but the game might have been different if not for San Francisco’s quarterback woes.
Rookie starter Brock Purdy (already San Francisco’s third-stringer) exited the game with an elbow injury in the game’s first possession. Fourth stringer Josh Johnson got the nod after that.
