Rep. George Santos (R-NY) weighed in on an attempt to censure Rep. Adam Schiff (D-CA) on Wednesday, opining that to censure Schiff would be to “preserve the integrity” of the House of Representatives.
The measure failed on Wednesday afternoon after a group of Republicans joined the Democratic caucus in voting for a motion to table the resolution.
Santos was not one of those Republicans to come to Schiff’s rescue. In a video posted on the controversial congressman’s Twitter account, Santos delivered a stinging evaluation of Schiff’s character.

The Environmental Protection Agency says its own rule proposal to ban a chemical used by many dry cleaners would have little impact on the environment, but its effects “could be devastating” for small businesses across the country, according to industry experts.
The agency says perchloroethylene, or PCE, “does not present an unreasonable risk to the environment,” but aims to ban the chemical because it causes health problems.

A growing number of small businesses in Oakland, California, are refusing to take cash in hopes that thieves will leave them alone amid a surge in robberies, the San Francisco Chronicle reported Wednesday.
While neighboring San Francisco passed an ordinance in 2019 forbidding stores from going cashless — citing the potential negative impacts on low-income citizens who may not qualify for credit cards — several Oakland businesses told the Chronicle that break-ins had stopped as a result of their decision to do so.
